The Las Vegas Raiders are heading to Minnesota for their first preseason game against the Vikings. Their offense will be missing Devonte Adams, which will be a big loss.

In addition to Adams, starting offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson will also be unavailable for the game.

As for the Vikings, T.J. Hockenson is still recovering from a torn ACL, and Robert Tonyan is questionable for the preseason matchup.

The Raiders have some uncertainties heading into this preseason game, with the quarterback battle being the biggest question mark.

Antonio Pierce and Luke Getsy will use the preseason to determine the starting quarterback between Aiden O’Connell and Gardner Minshew.

With both potential starters taking snaps, the Raiders have a good chance to win on Saturday.

The Raiders’ defense should be strong this season, potentially leading the team.

Maxx Crosby, Tyree Wilson, Christian Wilkins, and a few rookies are anticipated to cause problems for opposing offenses.

The Raiders could win their first preseason game if the defense continues to perform well.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings should give both main quarterbacks some playing time in the upcoming game. Currently, Sam Darnold is the starting quarterback for the Vikings, but nothing is definite.

The team also has first-round pick JJ McCarthy waiting on the sidelines, ready to get some playing time. With the two main quarterbacks ready to go, the first few quarters could see plenty of scoring for the Vikings.

Minnesota often uses the preseason to provide younger players with more playing time. This allows them to engage in position battles and prove themselves.

As a result, we can expect to see many rookies and first-year players taking snaps in the game.

If you believe these rookies can significantly impact both offense and defense, then betting on the Vikings might be a viable option.

Raiders-Vikings Best Bet

Keep in mind that the Vikings aren’t a strong preseason team. Their head coach tends to bench the starters, resulting in a losing streak during the preseason.

The team has lost all six of their preseason games under Kevin O’Connell. Because of this, I predict the Vikings’ losing streak will persist.

I’ll take the Raiders to cover the 3.5-point spread in this one.
