Las Vegas Aces General Manager  Natalie Williams  announced today that the team has released rookie forward Brea Beal and rookie guard Morgan Jones.

Both Beal and Jones were looking to make their WNBA debuts this season with the Aces. Beal signed a training camp contract with the Aces on March 29, 2024. She was selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the second round (No. 24) of the 2023 WNBA Draft, but was waived prior to the start of the season.

Jones, who signed a training camp contract on Feb. 1, 2024, played for PAOK in the Greek A1 women’s league over this past offseason after going undrafted out of Louisville in 2023. She averaged 23.9 points and 10.8 rebounds a game as PAOK finished with an 8-12 record and in 7th place.

The Aces are looking to lean on their drafted players to fill in the void. Both players are free to sign with any other team in the WNBA or Internationally.
