ยฉ Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Point guard Chelsea Gray signed a contract extension through 2025 to remain with the two-time WNBA defending champion Las Vegas Aces, General Managerย Natalie Williamsย announced Tuesday.

A nine-year WNBA veteran, Gray enters her fourth season with the Aces in 2024. She earned Finals MVP honors after leading the franchise to its first WNBA title in 2022, and she was integral in the Aces winning a second-straight championship in 2023 even though she suffered a foot injury the finals which ended up sidelining her.

โ€œChelsea Gray is definitely one of the top point guards in the world,โ€ said Williams. โ€œShe is the consummate floor general of our team.ย  There was no doubt about us wanting to sign her to an extension through 2025.โ€

โ€œI love this franchise, this team and the city of Vegas,โ€ said Gray. โ€œItโ€™s become my home. Itโ€™s my familyโ€™s home. Iโ€™m about championships and chasing history. Weโ€™re so close and weโ€™ve created a trust, a bond, and want the best for each other all the time. I get to play alongside some future hall of famers that love winning as much as I do. Weโ€™re chasing a legacy here in Vegas.โ€
