Fifty-nine days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.
Today, Feb. 23, the number is 59.
Jon Condo, No. 59
Jon Condo is the pick for No. 59 because he owned one of the most specialized jobs in football for more than a decade. From 2007-2017, the Raiders long snapper gave the operation stability through coaching changes, roster turnover and multiple stadium eras.
Condo played 173 games for the Raiders. For a long snapper, that kind of longevity is the separator.
The separator is 12 seasons in Silver and Black at a position built on trust.
Why Condo gets No. 59
No. 59 has some solid linebacker options, but Condo has the clearest long-term Raiders resume for this number. He also earned leaguewide recognition, making two Pro Bowls during his career.
Long snapping is only noticed when it goes wrong. Condo kept it quiet for years, which is exactly the point.
Draft and background
Condo was born Aug. 26, 1981, in Phillipsburg, Pa. He played at Osceola High School in Pennsylvania before playing at Maryland.
He entered the NFL and later found his long-term home with the Raiders in 2007. Then he stayed for 12 seasons as the team’s long snapper.
Other notable No. 59s
- William Thomas, 2000-2001
- Tahir Whitehead, 2018-2019
- Luke Masterson, 2022-2024
Career check
Condo played 181 NFL games, and 173 of them came with the Raiders. For No. 59, that decade-plus run makes this number his.
Next up tomorrow: No. 58.
