The Winnipeg Jets will play the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Saturday at the American Airlines Center. Puck drop is set for 5 p.m. PST. The Stars currently lead the series 3-2.
After a dismal 3-1 series deficit, the Jets turned things around with a 4-0 shutout in Game 5, thanks to stellar goaltending from Connor Hellebuyck.
While Hellebuyck has been exceptional at home, he has struggled on the road this postseason, holding a bleak record of 0-5-0 with a 5.84 GAA.
In contrast, Stars goalie Jake Oettinger has been reliable, posting a 7-5-0 record with a 2.60 GAA in the playoffs. He has won five straight games at home since losing the series opener against Colorado.
In their last game, Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers scored two goals, while center Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor contributed with assists. On the Stars’ side, Mikael Granlund performed in Game 4, scoring a hat trick.
With Hellebuyck’s inconsistent playoff performances raising concerns, fans wonder which version of him will show up on Saturday.
