The New York Knicks will play the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their second-round NBA Playoff series. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. PST at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.
In their last outing, the Knicks lost 127-102 in Game 5 on the road, unable to cover a 5.5-point spread.
Josh Hart was the standout for New York, scoring 24 points, though none of the team’s starters shot 50% or better from the field.
Earlier in the series at home, the Knicks had a split record of 1-1, with the same result against the spread. They advanced past the Detroit Pistons in six games during the first round.
On the other hand, the Celtics found success in Game 5, thanks to a commanding performance from Derrick White. White scored 34 points, and the team shot 52.4% from the field (44-for-84).
However, they will be missing All-Star Jayson Tatum, who suffered a torn Achilles in Game 4. In their first-round series against the Orlando Magic, Boston also recorded a 1-1 record straight up and against the spread while on the road.
Throughout the playoffs, the Celtics have played at one of the slowest paces and boast the second-best defensive rating.
They have gone 2-2 on the over/under (O/U) in away games, allowing 98 points or fewer in three of those games.
The Knicks, meanwhile, have been struggling offensively, scoring 102 points or less in three of their last four games, and have a 3-4-1 O/U record in their last eight matchups.
Given the anticipated intensity of this game and Boston’s tempo trends, betting on the UNDER 211.5 points is the best bet.
