  • What: NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Semifinals Game 3
  • When:  May 9, 2025
  • Who:   Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers
  • Time:  4:00 p.m. PST
  • Where:  Amerant Bank Arena (Sunrise, FL)

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers will play Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinals on Friday at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, starting at 4 p.m. PST.

Toronto leads the series 2-0, winning both games by a single goal. In Game 2, the Leafs secured a 4-3 victory thanks to Mitch Marner’s go-ahead goal in the third period, while they edged out a 5-4 win in Game 1.

The Panthers had brief leads in Game 2 but couldn’t hold on. This matchup marks just their third home game of the 2025 playoffs, and they currently have a 6-2 record in their last eight postseason games at home.

In goal, Joseph Woll (2-0-0, 4.00 GAA, .875 SV%) replaces the injured Anthony Stolarz.

Woll’s save percentage in the regular season was .909. Sergei Bobrovsky, struggling with an .850 save percentage over his last five games, allowed four goals in the last game.

Florida had previously beaten Toronto in four of their last five meetings, often by multiple goals.

Bobrovsky needs to improve for the Panthers to bounce back, as the Leafs have scored eight even-strength goals over the series.

Notably, Toronto’s offense has struggled to create high-danger scoring chances at 5-on-5. I’ll take the Panthers to win this one in blowout fashion.

Best Bet: Panthers -1.5 goals at +115 odds
