The Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights will play Game 2 of their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinals series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday.

The puck will drop at T-Mobile Arena at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Oilers lead the series 1-0.

The Oilers had a challenging start in Game 1 on Tuesday but finished strong, coming from behind to win 4-2 in Vegas as +116 underdogs.

Mark Stone of the Golden Knights scored a power-play goal just 2 minutes and 13 seconds into the game, before adding an even-strength goal at 9:03 to put his team up 2-0.

Oilers Veteran Corey Perry cut the deficit to 2-1 late in the first period. After a scoreless second period, Leon Draisaitl equalized only 57 seconds into the third period.

With just 3:02 left in regulation, Zach Hyman shocked the crowd with a goal that gave Edmonton the lead. Connor Brown added an insurance goal just over a minute later, sealing the upset for the Oilers.

Calvin Pickard had a rocky start in Game 1, raising concerns for coach Kris Knoblauch after Stone’s early goals. However, he settled in, finishing with 15 saves on 17 shots, maintaining his perfect playoff record since taking over as the starter.

On the other hand, Adin Hill conceded 4 goals on 28 shots in Game 1, ending a three-game win streak. He has allowed three or more goals in four of his last six starts and has lost two of his past three games at T-Mobile Arena.

While the Golden Knights started strong at home in Game 1, they’ll need to generate more shot attempts and get Jack Eichel more involved offensively. Despite their early goals, they only managed seven shots on goal in the last two periods.

This was also the first time Vegas lost a playoff game in regulation after leading by at least two goals, and it’s unlikely it will happen again.

The Oilers surprising the Golden Knights in Game 1 is exactly the wake up call they needed. This is just another chapter of the Oilers and Golden Knights rivalry.

The Golden Knights are the play in Game 2 as they aim to even the series before it shifts to Edmonton for the next two games.

I’m taking the Golden Knights to win this one in regulation at plus-money odds instead of the money line.

Best Bet: Golden Knights to win in regulation at +115 odds
