  • What: MLB Regular Season Game
  • When: April 13, 2025
  • Who:   New York Mets vs. A’s
  • Time:  1:05 p.m. PST
  • Where: Sutter Health Park (West Sacramento, CA)

The A’s are set to face the Mets in the final game of their interleague series at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, Calif.

I expect the Mets to clinch the series finale. So far, the teams have exchanged narrow victories, with the Mets taking Friday’s game 7-6 and the A’s winning 3-1 on Saturday.

Thanks to a stronger starting pitcher and favorable hitting conditions, I’m anticipating a Mets victory today.

Kodai Senga stands out as the better pitcher in this matchup. He has made two starts, both against the Marlins, and the current A’s lineup is largely unfamiliar with him, having only faced him five times.

Senga will effectively keep the A’s hitters at bay. On the other side, Luis Severino will take the mound. He had a stint with the Mets last year, where he rejuvenated his career before moving on.

However, he seems destined to be a journeyman from here on out, as the A’s are just looking for him to log innings. This season, he has consistently pitched at least six innings in each of his three appearances, but he’s also allowed five runs in two games.

Given these factors, I think the Mets have the upper hand and expect them to win decisively. Feel free to go for the run line if you’d like, or just join me in betting on the Mets to win on the money line.

Best Bet: Mets money line at -140 odds
