  • What: NBA Regular Season Game
  • When: April 13, 2025
  • Who:   Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors
  • Time:  12:30 p.m. PST
  • Where: Chase Center (San Francisco, CA)

The LA Clippers (49-32) and the Golden State Warriors (48-33) will play in the regular-season finale at Chase Center in San Francisco this Sunday.

The Clippers hold a 3-0 advantage in their season series against the Warriors.

As the Clippers approach this final game, they’re currently positioned fifth in the Western Conference but need a victory to secure themselves against entering the Play-In Tournament.

On the other hand, the Warriors also require a win to clinch the No. 6 seed, thus avoiding the Play-In Tournament altogether.

A loss combined with a Timberwolves win over the Jazz, and a Grizzlies victory against the Mavericks could drop Golden State to the No. 7 seed, thrusting them into the play-in bracket.

Notably, LA has won all three prior matchups against Golden State, and in each case, the Clippers played without Kawhi Leonard, who was sidelined due to a knee injury.

For the Warriors, guard Stephen Curry recently aggravated his thumb injury during a game against the Portland Trail Blazers. However, after negative X-ray results, he is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday.

The Clippers are riding a hot streak, winning seven consecutive games and nine out of their last ten. They’re also 7-3 against the spread (ATS) since March 26, with the Over hitting in three of their last four games.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have split their last four contests but have been strong overall, going 7-2 straight up (SU) and 6-2-1 ATS over their previous nine games. The Under has been successful in four of the last five outings for Golden State.

Although the Clippers have won all three encounters with the Warriors, they have yet to face them with Butler on the roster. The Clippers are on a seven-game winning streak, while the Warriors have gone 2-2 following a five-game streak.

Even though L.A. has been on a roll, their victories mostly came against weaker opponents, except the Houston Rockets, who played without four of their five starters.

This matchup should have a playoff atmosphere since the winner will secure a spot and avoid the play-in tournament.

With Butler in the mix, Golden State has significantly improved, and “Playoff Jimmy” is expected to shine in this game.

For the upcoming L.A. Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors matchup, I predict the Warriors will claim their first victory of the season against the Clippers at home and cover the spread.

Go with the Warriors to cover the -3.5 point spread in this one.

Best Bet: Warriors -3.5 points at -110 odds
