Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 14 KOs) and Chordale Booker (23-1, 11 KOs)  are finalizing a deal for a March fight in Las Vegas, Fundora’s WBC and WBO Junior middleweight belts will be on the line.

Sabastian Fundora thought he was going to be fighting the biggest named opponent of his career in Errol Spence Jr. but after playing a long waiting game on trying to finalize a date, Fundora moved on and made it official with Booker. That news is very disappointing for boxing fans as that fight would have been a prove it fight for both fighters. Spence is coming off of a complete demolition against Terance Crawford and hasn’t been in the ring since. Fundora wants to show the world that his upset win over Tim Tszyu wasn’t a fluke and that he belongs in the conversation of the best 154 pounders in the world.

Not just yet

Booker is getting the opportunity of a lifetime. He landed into a title shot and will be looking to shock the boxing world. But the 5’9 challenger will have a very tall task against the 6’5 1/2 champion known as ‘The Towering Inferno’. Based off off recent events with Fundora, we still have to see if this fight will actually get done. Fundora for whatever reason is having issues solidifying a title defense. The last thing that Fundora needs is to fall victim to an upset against a little known fighter. Skills wise Fundora will be at a advantage skill wise as both fighters are lefties. His 80 inch reach will be at a great advantage as he will bother the challenger who will try to figure out how to close in the distance which is easier said than done.
