Lady Rebels get another conference win on the road

The Lady Rebels (11-4, 3-0) scored another conference win over the Boise State Broncos (11-5,1-2), 61-57.

The Comeback

The Lady Rebels trailed into the fourth quarter. Kiara Jackson led the Lady Rebels in the win with 18 points, four assists, and tied second on the team with seven rebounds. Jackson scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter to give the Lady Rebels the win. Kiara Jackson also went 7-for-17 from the field and was perfect (4-for-4) from the free-throw line. The Lady Rebels continued their consistency in the paint, scoring 36 of their 61 points in the paint compared to Boise’s 24.

A Shootout

Between the Lady Rebels and the Broncos, there were 11 lead changes throughout the game. Seven of the 11 came just during the fourth quarter. In the last 10 minutes of the game, the Lady Rebels were down seven points, 43-36. Kiara Jackson made back-to-back jumpers to give the Lady Rebels the lead, 46-45. The Lady Rebels went on an eight-point spree to secure the win. The Lady Rebels and the Broncos were tied five times, three of those were during the fourth quarter. The Broncos were led by Mya Hansen who scored 17 points and Elodie Lalotte, scoring 12 points. Abby Muse and Tatum Thomason led the Broncos in rebounds, with six each.

The Lady Rebels have now won eight games straight against Boise State. The Lady Rebels will be back at the Cox Pavillion to take on the Colorado State Rams on Wednesday, January 8th at 6:30 p.m. PT
