The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels (9-5, 3-0) are headed on the road to take on the Boise State Broncos (11-4, 3-1).
The Runnin’ Rebels are coming off of one of their best starts in conference play since the 2019-20 season. The Runnin’ Rebels are third in conference standings.
The Runnin’ Rebels seem to find success when all of the team is involved. In their win against San Jose State, the Runnin’ Rebels had four players that scored in double digits. They also seem to come up big when they shoot above 50% from the floor. Against San Jose state the Runnin’ Rebels shot 51.5% in just the first half. To close the game, the Runnin’ Rebels shot 50.9%.
The Boise State Broncos are attempting to rebound at home after a loss to the San Diego State Aztecs 68-76. The Broncos were led by Chris Lockett, Jr., in the loss, he scored a team-high of 16 points. He went on to have a career day, racking up 5 field goals and three three-points against the Aztecs. The Broncos also shot 3-of-6 from the floor.
A major key for the Runnin’ Rebels is to remain persistent in their defensive strategy and to continue to knock down big shots. They are looking to continue their 50% and above shooting streak from the field.
