On Saturday, the Utah Hockey Club will play the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena in NHL action.
The Golden Knights face the Utah Hockey Club for the third time this month. The Knights won the previous two games in comeback fashion. Can the Knights sweep the season series with Utah?
Utah Hockey Club
The Utah Hockey Club had an uneven performance last season, similar to the Arizona Coyotes. They averaged 3.10 goals per game with an 11.2% shooting percentage.
This season, their offensive output has decreased to 2.73 goals per game and a 10.4% shooting percentage. Right wings Clayton Keller and Dylan Guenther are currently tied for the team’s lead in total points, each with 20.
Guenther is also the top scorer, netting 10 goals. Center Nick Schmaltz leads in assists, contributing 17.
Despite having a talented roster, consistency has eluded the team this year, and they are likely to face challenges in their upcoming game against the Golden Knights.
This isn’t the real Caesar’s Palace, is it? … did Caesar live here?

On the defensive side, the Utah Hockey Club faced difficulties last year, allowing an average of 3.34 goals per game and maintaining an 89.5% save percentage.
Unfortunately, this season has not shown much improvement, as they concede 3.14 goals per game while keeping the same save percentage.
Connor Ingram is expected to be the key goalie this season after finishing last year with 23 wins and 21 losses, allowing 2.91 goals per game and achieving a 90.7% save percentage.
So far, he has a 6-4 record in 13 games, but he currently allows 3.61 goals per game with an 87.1% save percentage.
Karel Vejmelka has also contributed, holding a 3-6 record and allowing 2.25 goals per game with a 92.2% save percentage. The defense faces a significant challenge ahead against the Golden Knights.
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are looking to carry momentum from their recent 4-3 victory against Winnipeg into this matchup.
They were among the top teams in the NHL last season, showcasing a strong offense that averaged 3.21 goals per game with a shooting percentage of 10.3%.
This season, they’ve stepped it up further, scoring 3.74 goals per game with an impressive 12.3% shooting percentage.
The team’s offense is heavily influenced by center Jack Eichel. He contributed 68 points, including 31 goals last season, and led the team with 37 assists.
This year, he’s been pivotal again, currently leading the team with 34 points and 26 assists. Left wing Pavel Dorofeyev also makes his mark, topping the goal charts with 12.

This balanced offensive attack has the potential to exploit the Utah Hockey Club’s defense, setting the stage for a challenging matchup.
Defensively, the Golden Knights also performed well last season, allowing 2.96 goals per game and achieving a 90.7% save percentage.
This season, their defense has remained solid but not quite as strong as before, giving up 3.00 goals per game with a 90% save percentage.
Adin Hill, who formed a strong goalie duo with Logan Thompson last season, remains a key player.
While Thompson is no longer with the team, Hill has maintained a respectable performance with nine wins and four losses this season, allowing 2.84 goals per game and holding an 89.5% save percentage.
Ilya Samsonov supports him with five wins and two losses, giving up 3.08 goals per game and posting a 90.4% save percentage.
This defensive unit is crucial for the Golden Knights, and they should look to dominate the Utah Hockey Club on the road.
Hockey Club-Golden Knights Best Bet
The Utah Hockey Club has struggled with consistency this season, whereas the Golden Knights have established themselves as one of the top teams in the NHL.
Jack Eichel is likely to be the standout performer on the ice. This one feels like Vegas is going to be too talented for Utah.
I’d bet on the Golden Knights overwhelming Utah and sneaking out another win.
The Golden Knights on the moneyline at -160 odds at BetMGM is the best bet in this one.
