A’ja Wilson caught fans around the world off guard, quietly posting a first look at her second signature Nike shoe on her story. The new model looks even wilder than the first, and fans already seem ready to line up to get their hands on a pair.

The shoe keeps a similar silhouette, but it adds a more futuristic look. It also aims to deliver both comfort and stability, featuring Cushlon 3.0 for a springier takeoff and softer landing. It includes a Nike Air Zoom unit in the forefoot for explosiveness, plus a midfoot shank to boost stability and on-court feel.

Fans saw it coming, too, after Wilson flashed the shoe online. The outsole uses a grip pattern similar to Kevin Durant’s signature line, so hoopers expect strong traction.

Nike will drop the shoe May 2 on Nike.com and at select retailers. The launch colorway goes bright pink. A green iridescent logo and swoosh finish the look.

Wilson wants it to perform and pop. She also wants it to mean something. Wilson, who invests heavily in youth sports, said, “I want kids to feel confident, bold and proud when they lace up.”

Demand should follow. Fans already bought into the Nike A’Ones. Now they are ready for the next wave.
