  • What: NBA Finals Game 7

  • Who:   Indiana Pacers vs. OKC Thunder
  • Time:  5:00 p.m. PST
  • Where: Paycom Center (Oklahoma City, OK)

It’s Game 7 of the NBA Finals, where a new champion will be crowned. The Indiana Pacers face the Oklahoma City Thunder at 5 p.m. PST at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. The series is tied at 3-3.

In a crucial Game 6, the Pacers overcame an early deficit to win 108-91 as 5.5-point underdogs, tying the series.

Obi Toppin led the charge with 20 points, while Andrew Nembhard added 17, and Tyrese Haliburton contributed 14 despite a calf strain. The Pacers have won Games 1, 3, and 6, with their only back-to-back losses occurring in Games 4 and 5.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have yet to lose consecutive games this postseason.

In their Game 6 defeat, they committed 21 turnovers and struggled with a 42 percent shooting average, including just 27 percent from three-point range.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 21 points but finished with a minus-33 rating, while Jalen Williams had a challenging game at minus-40 despite scoring 16 points.

In high-pressure situations like the NBA Finals, it’s natural for players to slow down and feel the pressure, especially during a Game 7.

Historically, only three of the 19 Game 7s have exceeded 215 total points, with the last 12 falling below that mark. The previous game to surpass 215 points dates back to 1962 when Bill Russell’s Celtics defeated the Lakers.

Recently, the last five Game 7s have finished below 190 total points, and 11 out of 19 have not reached that threshold.

Although the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder are known for their strong offenses, both teams have gone Under in two of their last three outings, suggesting a likely low-scoring game on Sunday.

The Pacers have been the underdogs in all seven games of the Finals. While the Thunder have a strong home record, Indiana has proven to be more than capable of overcoming a 6.5-point deficit.

The Pacers have an impressive playoff record, going 14-8 against the spread, with a 7-4 record on the road.

Home teams have a record of 15-4 in Game 7 of the Finals, but the most recent game in 2016 saw a road team — Cleveland — defeat Golden State.

The last six Game 7s of the Finals have all been decided by seven points or less, and 14 out of 19 have been within that narrow margin.

It’s a good idea to bet on Indiana, keeping this game competitive. The series has been so close, I can’t pick a winner, so I’ll share two bets instead of one.

Best Bets: Under 214.5 Points at -105 odds & Pacers +6.5 Points at -102 odds
