- What: WNBA Regular Season Game
- When: June 17, 2025
- Who: Las Vegas Aces vs. Minnesota Lynx
- Time: 8:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Target Center (Minneapolis, MN)
The Las Vegas Aces head to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Lynx, who hold an impressive 10-1 record.
With Wilson unavailable for this matchup, the Aces could find themselves in a challenging position once again.
Jewell Loyd has had a slow start, and with the Aces struggling defensively, it’s hard to see them keeping pace with the Lynx without the reigning league MVP.
Las Vegas has lost three of its last four games, including defeats to the 5-5 Golden State Valkyries and the 4-8 Los Angeles Sparks.
This matchup would have been much more intriguing with A’ja Wilson in the lineup.
While Vegas may not be contenders for the Commissioner’s Cup, they would have had a chance to play spoiler against the Lynx. Without Wilson, however, the situation could become quite lopsided.
The Aces do still have talent with Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray, both of whom are standout players. Jewell Loyd is known for her ability to heat up and score. Nevertheless, Wilson is the key player who drives their success.
Without her leadership on offense and presence on defense, the Aces are likely to struggle.
It’s difficult to envision how they can keep this game within single digits, given their underwhelming performance on both ends of the court, even with Wilson in the lineup. While the Lynx most likely win this game, I’ll take the Aces to cover the 13.5-point spread at -110 odds.
Best Bet: Aces +13.5 Points at -110 odds
