On Sunday, the Winnipeg Jets will face the Dallas Stars in Game 3 of their best-of-7 series in the Western Conference semifinals.
The puck will drop at 1:30 p.m. ET from the American Airlines Center. The series is currently tied 1-1.
The Jets responded well in Game 2, securing a 4-0 victory at home, where right winger Nikolaj Ehlers scored twice, and center Adam Lowry added his fourth postseason goal.
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck was flawless, stopping all 21 shots he faced. He was supported by defenseman Josh Morrissey, who returned with an assist and a +2 rating.
The Stars got off to a rough start when center Tyler Seguin was called for high-sticking just 17 seconds into the game. The Jets took advantage, scoring early and maintaining control.
Mikko Rantanen struggled offensively, managing only one shot on goal. In net, Hellebuyck (5-4, 3.32 GAA in the 2025 playoffs) will go against Jake Oettinger (5-4, 2.79 GAA).
While Hellebuyck’s performance at home was solid, his road struggles have been noted. Oettinger had a decent showing in Game 2, saving 21 of 24 shots, but faced early pressure.
I believe Game 2 was an anomaly, and I expect the Stars to come out strong in Game 3. I’m not a fan of the -135 money line price for the Stars so I’m targeting the 3-way market instead.
The Stars to win this one in regulation is +120 odds and the best bet in this one.
