The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets will clash in Game 4 of their best-of-7 series in the Western Conference semifinals this Sunday in Denver.
The Nuggets currently lead the playoff series 2-1. The game will tip off at 12:30 p.m. PST at Ball Arena.
After tying the series 1-1 with a decisive 149-106 victory at home on Wednesday, the Thunder faced a setback on Friday in Game 3, suffering a 113-104 loss in overtime.
They struggled offensively, shooting just 28% overall and 26% from beyond the arc. Forward Jalen Williams led the team with 32 points.
The Nuggets outscored the Thunder 11-2 in Friday’s overtime to take the series lead. Nikola Jokic contributed 20 points and secured 16 rebounds, despite not making any 3-point attempts (0-for-10).
Jamal Murray topped the Nuggets’ scoring with 27 points, and four players recorded 20-plus points. The Thunder have only lost consecutive games twice during the regular season—once in November and again on April 4-6.
They’ve been strong lately, going 9-2 in their last 11 contests and recovering from an initial loss by defeating the Nuggets convincingly in Game 2.
Throughout the four regular-season matchups, the teams alternated wins.
Notably, seven of the Thunder’s last nine victories came by more than six points, and they have an impressive 21-2 record against the spread (ATS) in their last 23 wins.
On the other hand, the Nuggets have struggled when losing, covering the spread only once all season in losses and having a dismal 1-35 ATS record under those circumstances.
