Fans React to Golden Knights 5-4 OT loss to Oilers

LAS VEGAS — The Golden Knights lost in overtime to the Edmonton Oilers 5-4. The Oilers have a 2-0 series lead.

The Golden Knights had a 1-0 first period lead thanks to a goal by Victor Olofsson. The Oilers answered with a flurry of goals to take a 3-1 lead.

Jake Walman answered for the Oilers to tie the game at 1-1. Vasily Podkolzin and Darnell Nurse scored to push the lead to 3-1. William Karlsson answered to cut the lead to 3-2.

Evander Kane pushed the lead to 4-2 for the Oilers early in the third period. Olofsson scored the second goal of the night to cut the lead to 4-3.

Alex Pietrangelo tied the game at 4-4. Adin Hill finished this one with 33 saves and 5 goals allowed.

The Oilers will host the Golden Knights in game 3 on Saturday.
