- What: NBA Western Conference Playoffs First Round Game 6
- When: May 2, 2025
- Who: Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors
- Time: 6:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Chase Center (San Francisco, CA)
The seventh-seeded Golden State Warriors will face the second-seeded Houston Rockets in Game 6 of their best-of-seven first-round playoff series on Friday.
The Warriors currently lead the series 3-2, and the game will tip off at 6 p.m. PST at Chase Center in San Francisco.
After suffering consecutive losses that put them on the brink of elimination, Houston rebounded to defeat Golden State 131-116 as a 4-point favorite in Wednesday’s Game 5.
Guard Fred VanVleet led the scoring with 26 points, while forward Amen Thompson added 25, and center Alperen Sengun contributed 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.
The Rockets showcased a strong offensive performance, shooting 55.1% from the field. Guard Moses Moody was the standout scorer for the Warriors in Wednesday’s defeat with 25 points.
Managing a lingering hand injury, Stephen Curry chipped in 13 points and was the only starter for Golden State to reach double figures.
The Warriors have consistently scored 104 or more points in their last three games and in seven of their last ten matchups.
However, they have also allowed 106 points or more in three of their last four contests and six of their last nine.
Conversely, the Rockets have registered over 106 points in eight of their last ten games while allowing 104 or more in seven of those matches.
Notably, the Over has hit in the last two games of this series. While the Over will be a public play in this one, I get the feeling this will be a close game.
The Rockets and Warriors both extending this game as much as they can with late fouls feels very likely. Both teams will be at the free throw line a ton in this game.
I’ll take Over 207.5 points as the best bet in this Rockets vs. Warriors game.
Best Bet: Over 207.5 Points at -110 odds
