The Minnesota Wild face the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of their best-of-seven first-round series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, with the series tied 2-2.

The Golden Knights swept the regular-season series 3-0. In the last game, Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon scored his first playoff goal to tie it late, assisted by captain Kirill Kaprizov.

However, the Wild lost 4-3 in overtime to the Golden Knights, with goalie Filip Gustavsson allowing four goals on 46 shots.

Ivan Barbashev tied the series for the Golden Knights with his first postseason goal in overtime. Tomas Hertl added his third goal of the series, while Adin Hill made 29 saves in the victory.

Gustavsson had a regular-season record of 31-19-6 (2.56 GAA, .914 SV%), and Hill recorded 32-13-5 (2.47 GAA, .906 SV%) with four shutouts.

Gustavsson faced a heavy onslaught of 46 shots in Game 4, the highest he’s encountered this series. He stopped 42 before conceding the game-winning goal in overtime.

Throughout the season, he has only allowed 15 goals on 173 shots in five starts against the Golden Knights. In his postseason career, Gustavsson has a record of 4-5, with an impressive 2.44 GAA and a .920 SV%.

After two straight losses, Hill rebounded with a victory in Game 5, giving up 3 goals on 32 shots. This season, he holds a 4-2 record against the Wild, allowing 15 goals on 97 shots in those games.

The former Stanley Cup champion has a playoff record of 14-8, with a 2.31 GAA, .921 SV%, and three shutouts in his career.

I’m sticking with the Over for this matchup, as it has hit in the last five meetings between these teams.

The Golden Knights have gone Over in six of their last eight games, while the Wild have done so in six of their previous seven.

This Wild and Golden Knights series has displayed a ton of offense so far. With totals of 6, 7, 7, and 7 goals scored in this series so far, it seems wise to back the Over again on Tuesday night.
