I’m backing the Mariners in this matchup. The Athletics typically have their best shot at a win when JP Sears is on the mound.
However, that hasn’t been the case against the Mariners, as Seattle has consistently performed well against Sears. On the other hand, Bryan Woo has been nearly unhittable against the Athletics.
I believe the Mariners will manage to split the series, and Woo will continue his strong track record against them. I’m going with Seattle at home for this game.
