LAS VEGAS — The Golden Knights winning streak has come to an end. The LA Kings beat the Golden Knights on the road 6-5. The Kings took a 3-0 lead early in the second period and didn’t look back.
Vegas got within one goal twice at 3-2 and 6-5, but could never capture the lead. The Kings had six different goal scorers: Anze Kopitar, Brandt Clarke, Quinton Byfield, Warren Foegele, Trevor Moore, and Adrian Kempe scored for them.
On the other side of the ice, Tomas Hertl scored a hat trick, while Nicolas Roy and Brandon Saad each added goals.
The Golden Knights are still in third place in the Western Conference with 82 points. Their homestand has ended, and they hit the road this upcoming week.
The Golden Knights start a four-game road trip and head to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins on Tuesday, March 7th.
This can only be good for the Golden Knights

Brandt Clarke , remember him ? Yeah well he makes it 2-0 Los Angeles. This Kings team is a real problem for VGK and I don’t just mean today #vegasborn

The advanced stats per @NatStatTrick in the 1st period are frighteningly bad for VGK.
Goals: 2-0
Shots on goal: 16-7
Shot attempts: 29-16
Scoring chances: 19-2
High-danger chances: 8-1
Expected goals: 2.02-0.22Yikes.

Come on Golden Knights. It's your last home game before next road trip and you just got dominated by Kings in 1st period. Better wake up and at least make it respectable. Find your offense and play better defensively. #VegasBorn

Guessing #VegasBorn gets stronger as this one progresses as the Kings are on a back to back, we will see.

After LA’s third goal gives them a solid lead, we get a heavy weight tussle as @LAKings big kid Sam Helenius takes on Nic Hague. The VGK D man closes the fight out w/ a wrestling takedown. Entertaining the raucous Fortress crowd.
