Runnin’ Rebels close out regular season against San Diego State

The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels look to end the regular season on a high note against San Diego State on Tuesday, March 4 at 8 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Runnin’ Rebels will be celebrating Senior night against the Aztecs. The game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.

San Diego State has won two straight games and five of its last six.

Last time on the court, Jaden Henley led UNLV in a 68-55 win at the Thomas & Mack Center against in-state rival, UNR. Henley scored a career-high 23 points.

The Runnin’ Rebels recorded a season-high 48 rebounds. UNR managed to grab down only 27 rebounds for the game.

UNLV was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, shooting 20-for-21 from the line.

San Diego State is led by Miles Byrd, averaging 12.9 points per game.

The Aztec’s second leading scorer is Nick Boyd, averaging 12.8 points per game. Magoon Gwath is the team’s leading rebounder, averaging 5.2 rebounds per game.

The two teams last met on January 18. The Runnin’ Rebels topped the Aztecs, 76-68 where guard Dedan Thomas, Jr led the team in scoring and assists with 19 points and five assists.

It was UNLV ‘s first win against San Diego State since 2020.
