- What: NBA Regular Season Game
- When: February 28, 2025
- Who: Denver Nuggets vs. Detroit Pistons
- Time: 4:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Little Caesars Arena (Detroit, MI)
The Detroit Pistons (33-26) will play the Denver Nuggets (38-21) on Friday. In their last game on Wednesday, the Pistons defeated the Boston Celtics convincingly 117-97.
Detroit is riding an impressive eight-game winning streak, their longest since 2008. Meanwhile, the Nuggets have struggled recently, losing two of their last three outings.
Their most recent game saw them lose to the Milwaukee Bucks 121-112. This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this season, following the Nuggets’ earlier triumph over the Pistons, 134-121, on December 28.
Denver
The Nuggets have an 18-12 road record. However, this is Denver’s second game of a back-to-back trip, which could affect their offensive performance.
The Nuggets have struggled defensively recently, giving up an average of 119 points over their last four games.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets suffered a defeat against the Bucks, falling 121-112, despite a remarkable triple-double performance from Nikola Jokic.
Detroit ranks fourth in the Eastern Conference for points in the paint, mainly due to Cunningham’s contributions (averaging 12.2). His size and length allow him to create excellent scoring opportunities for his teammates.
Malik Beasley, a former Nugget, has emerged as a significant threat off the bench for the Pistons. Facing his old team will provide him with extra motivation, and he’s likely to deliver a strong performance.
Detroit
The Detroit Pistons, one of the NBA’s hottest teams, are set to extend their impressive eight-game winning streak as they host the Denver Nuggets.
Detroit has also managed to secure four consecutive victories at Little Caesars Arena. This matchup marks the Nuggets’ third game of a four-game road trip. Both teams have posted an 8-2 record in their last 10 games.
Detroit has challenged the notion that they struggle against playoff contenders, recently notching back-to-back wins against the Clippers and the Celtics.
A rising star, Cade Cunningham is expected to bounce back after shooting 7-for-18 in their previous encounter. He has been on a roll, posting 20 or more points along with 7 or more assists in six straight games.

The key for Detroit will be to contain Jokic, a three-time MVP enjoying the finest season of his career.
He shone in their last meeting, scoring 37 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in a 134-121 win for the Nuggets back on December 28th.
For the Pistons, centers Jalen Duran and Isaiah Stewart must play wisely and avoid foul trouble, as both players accumulated four fouls in their previous match against Denver.
Duran’s physicality and athleticism make him one of the few centers capable of challenging Jokic effectively. Another critical area for Detroit will be limiting Jamal Murray, who scored 34 points in their last encounter.
The Nuggets play quickly, ranking fourth in the league (101.11) and boasting the second-best offensive rating (119.1).
Nuggets-Pistons Best Bet
These two teams are two of the best offenses in the league right now. They’re playing with pace and each team has a ton of offensive possessions.
This one has over written all over it to me. We are in for an offensive explosion from both squads. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one end in the 120s for both teams.
Best Bet: Over 238.5 points at -115 odds.
