A cross-conference showdown is set for Thursday evening as the Denver Nuggets (38-20) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (32-25). The Nuggets secured a victory over the Indiana Pacers with a score of 125-116 on Monday, marking their 10th win in the last 11 games.

In contrast, the Bucks saw their four-game winning streak end on Tuesday when the Houston Rockets edged them out, 100-97.

Denver

Center Nikola Jokic is an exceptional playmaker all over the court. He excels as a scorer, rebounder, and facilitator, ranking second in the league with an impressive average of 10.4 assists per game.

Additionally, he is third in points (29.2) and rebounds (12.6) per game.

In his most recent game, the 30-year-old recorded 18 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high 19 assists, marking his 44th double-double of the season.

On the other hand, guard Jamal Murray is known for his smooth ball-handling and ability to create shots from the backcourt. He averages 21.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists each game.

The 28-year-old has scored at least 34 points in two of his last four games.

Notably, during the victory over the Trail Blazers on February 12, Murray impressed with 55 points, along with four rebounds and five assists.

Milwaukee

Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a dominant presence in the paint as both a scorer and rebounder.

He ranks second in the NBA with an average of 31 points, sixth in rebounds at 12 per game, and eighth in field-goal percentage at 60.9%. Antetokounmpo tallied 27 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in his last game.

On the other hand, guard Damian Lillard poses a significant scoring threat from all areas of the court. He sits 12th in the NBA with an average of 25.5 points and ranks ninth in assists at 7.4 per game.

Lillard also boasts a 38% shooting percentage from three-point range. In a game against the Heat on February 23, he finished with 28 points and eight assists, including five three-pointers made.

Nuggets-Bucks Best Bet

The Nuggets head into this matchup as slight favorites and for valid reasons.

Although the Bucks recently secured a win against Denver, the Nuggets have been on a remarkable streak, claiming victory in ten out of their last eleven games.

Their top-ranked field goal percentage and third-best three-point shooting make them a potent offensive threat.

While the Bucks are a solid team, they lack the depth and offensive consistency that the Nuggets possess, which was evident in their recent defeat against Houston.

With Nikola Jokic performing at an MVP level and the supporting players contributing effectively, Denver’s offensive capabilities will likely surpass Milwaukee’s home-court advantage.

Best Bet: Denver Nuggets money line at -160 odds.
