Runnin’ Rebels look to keep rolling against Air Force

After getting back on track with win against Wyoming, the Runnin’ Rebels are looking ahead to Air Force.

The Runnin’ Rebels take on Air Force at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Dedan Thomas, Jr leads the Runnin’ Rebels averaging 16.3 points per game. Jeremiah Cherry leads the Runnin’ Rebels in rebounds, averaging 5.3 rebounds per game.

In their win against Wyoming, Thomas, Jr. led the Runnin’ Rebels scoring a game-high 18 points.

Jaden Henley stepped up with 13 points and Julian Rishwain with 11 points.

The Runnin’ Rebels came out booming in the first half. They went on a 7-1 run to bring the score to 30-23. The Runnin’ Rebels had the advantage for most of the second half, leading by as much as 16 with three minutes left in the game.

The Falcons haven’t won a game since Dec. 7. They are coming into this game after an 88-53 loss to New Mexico on Saturday.

Ethan Taylor leads the Falcons in scoring and rebounds, averaging 15.3 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Air Force is picked to finish 11th in the Mountain West in the preseason coaches’ poll.

The Runnin’ Rebels scorched Air Force 77-58 in their last meeting. Rishwain led the Runnin’ Rebels in the win with 16 points.
