Runnin’ Rebels on the road against San Diego State

After coming up big against No. 22 Utah State, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels hit the road to take on San Diego State on Saturday at 5 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

In the win against the Aggies, the Runnin’ Rebels snapped a two-game losing streak.

UNLV won six of their last nine games. In their first three games in Mountain West play, the Runnin’ Rebels shot above 50 percent from the floor, and they are 8-1 at home this season.

UNLV has three players averaging in double-digits this season with Dedan Thomas, Jr. leading the way, averaging 15.6 points per game. Jeremiah Cherry, Jailen Bedford, and Jaden Henley score between 9.0 and 11.0 points per game.

Against Utah State, the Runnin’ Rebels closed the game with a 7-0 run capped by Julian Rishwain’s three-pointer. UNLV also outrebounded Utah State 37-34

The San Diego State Aztecs come into this game winning their last three of four games, including a 70-60 win against Colorado State at home.

The Aztecs have two players scoring in double-figures. Miles Byrd is averaging 14.2 points per game, and Nick Boyd is averaging 12.3 points per game.

This is the 83rd meeting between the two teams. The Aztecs lead the all-time series 44-38.
