The Lady Rebels kept pushing through the Mountain West, remaining undefeated after an authoritative 84-51win over Air Force.
Amarachi Kimpson came up big for the Lady Rebels 14-4, 6-0 MW) in the win, scoring 19 points. She shot 9-for-15 from the floor, including 1-for-3 from the beyond the arc. Kimpson also led the team with four assists.
Alyssa Brown came up with her third double-double this season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
The Falcons (10-7, 0-5) were led by Milahnie Perry, who scored 12 points, and Alexis Cortez, who scored 10 points. Jayda McNabb led the Falcons in rebounds, grabbing six.
The Lady Rebels controlled the tempo of the game from the opening tip.
Alyssa Brown won the jump ball, allowing Lady Rebels to go on an 8-0 run to start the game. They closed the first quarter, leading 16-5 – the fewest points allowed in a game this season.
The Lady Rebels will keep on rolling in conference play against Wyoming on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Cox Pavillion.
