Tom Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, 44, made a shocking announcement Monday. She and her boyfriend Joaquim Valente,35, are expecting their first child together.
A source close to Bündchen confirmed the news via PEOPLE and said the pair are “happy for this new chapter in their life.”
“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.”
The source also told PEOPLE earlier this year that, “They have been dating since June. They’re taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.”
The two have been a couple for a year since she and Brady were divorced two years ago and have been inseparable.
Bündchen, who was married for 13 years to Brady, has two children with him, Ben 14, and Vivian, 11. No word from Brady about his ex’s announcement; don’t expect it to be one.
Brady is very quiet about his private life but has been seen publicly since his divorce with several well-known women, there was even a rumor about him dating Kim Kardashian, which they both denied.
If we do hear from Brady, it will probably be to congratulate his ex on her soon-to-be new arrival.
