The Week 4 NFL schedule will kick off with an NFC East showdown on Thursday Night Football. In a divisional clash, the New York Giants will host the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were expected to be strong contenders in the NFC East this season. Still, they face a challenging situation with a 1-2 record and a difficult game against a division rival approaching.
Time is running out for Dallas to address their issues, especially given the short week ahead.

The Cowboys have the worst rushing defense in the league, allowing the highest EPA per play at 0.184.
Last week, the Cowboys defense struggled, allowing the Ravens to rush for 274 yards on 45 carries. In Week 2, the Saints also had success on the ground, rushing for 190 yards on 39 attempts.
New York Giants
The Giants have been surprisingly competitive in the 2024 season so far. Although Minnesota defeated them in Week 1, that loss doesn’t seem as bad now.
In Week 2, they lost 21-18 to the Commanders, a game they should have won. New York scored three offensive touchdowns, while Washington failed to find the end zone.

Unfortunately, kicker Graham Gano’s injury disrupted the game, as the Giants had no one to kick extra points or field goals. However, they secured an impressive win against Cleveland last week, which has boosted their confidence.
The offense, previously criticized, has been revitalized by Nabers’ ability to create separation and make contested catches, greatly benefiting Brian Daboll.
Daboll has proven to be an effective offensive play-caller, which will be crucial in the upcoming match against Dallas.
Daboll is expected to test the Dallas defensive line with Devin Singletary. If the Cowboys struggle to stop it, the Giants will rely on their ground game. However, if Dallas loads the box, Daboll should be confident in Jones and the passing game.
Cowboys-Giants Best Bet
This is going to be a very interesting matchup as both teams are in dire need of a win. Both teams have had their struggles this season and seemingly both coaches could be on the hot seat.
The Cowboys and Dak Prescott have dominated this matchup the past decade winning 12 straight against the Giants. The spread opened at Cowboys -4 and has been bet up to -5. The way the Cowboys have been playing I don’t want to lay the points with them and I don’t want to back the Giants in this matchup.
I’m going to target the total instead. It’s currently at 44.5 points, which feels low but I think an Under is firmly in play in this matchup. I’d take Under 44.5 points as the best bet in this one.
Can the Bengals finally get a win against the visiting Commanders?
