The league will not discipline Bam Adebayo or Tyler Herro following their altercation in Las Vegas last week. This decision comes after the nba reviewed the incident.
According to a statement released by the league itself, the National Basketball Association (nba), reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania, all parties have agreed to move on from the incident.
Adebayo and Herro played together on the Miami Heat from 2019 to 2026. After being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal, Herro told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne he wants to “move on” from the incident and is “focused on the next chapter in Milwaukee.” It’s worth noting that nba teams often see shifting rosters, but this story added a dramatic twist.
Neither team has commented on the incident related to these recent nba headlines.
Recently Herro and Adebayo had an altercation inside a gym at Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas, in front of Herro’s AAU team. The Heat and Bucks played each other that afternoon. Witnesses said Herro said something to Adebayo as he entered the court. Adebayo then approached Herro and reportedly punched him. Herro’s AAU coach confronted Adebayo while Herro yelled at his former teammate as security escorted him away. This confrontation gained even more attention because both players are nba stars.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the altercation began when Adebayo confronted Herro about criticism Herro made after their time with the Heat ended, an event that many nba fans have discussed at length.
The NBA will announce its 2026-27 schedule in August, which will reveal when Herro’s Bucks and Adebayo’s Heat will first meet on the court and whether any tension remains.
