The Pac-12 has announced the location and updated bracket format for its basketball conference tournament. With this announcement, fans can anticipate more excitement from the Pac-12 conference.

Both the men’s and women’s Pac-12 basketball tournaments will be held at MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas under a two-year agreement, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS. The first edition will run March 9-13, 2027.

Regarding the tournament format, the conference will protect top seeds in the bracket, and notably, the Pac-12 format means No. 1 and 2 seeds earn double byes into the semifinals. The No. 3 and 4 seeds earn a first-round bye and drop in for the quarterfinals. The No. 8 and 9 seeds play in a play-in game before joining the No. 5-7 seeds in the first round.

The men’s and women’s tournaments will run concurrently, with women’s games scheduled before men’s games each day. To reiterate, all these details apply to both divisions of the Pac-12 basketball event. Game times will be announced at a later date.

The women’s Pac-12 championship on March 13 will air on The CW, while the men’s championship will be broadcast on CBS the same day.
