Conor Benn is all in on the future of Zuffa Boxing. The rising British star has signed a five-fight contract extension through 2028. Solidifying his place as one of the cornerstone names under the rapidly growing promotional banner.
Benn (25-1, 14 KOs) initially left Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing earlier this year for a lucrative one-fight agreement with Zuffa Boxing a deal reportedly worth $15 million.
That gamble paid off immediately. Fighting under the Zuffa banner for the first time, Benn delivered a composed performance, defeating Regis Prograis by unanimous decision in a 10-round, 150-pound catchweight bout at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The fight served as the co-main event to Tyson Fury’s dominant win over Arslanbek Makhmudov on a blockbuster Netflix card.
Momentum Building at the Right Time
At 29, Benn appears to be entering his prime and Zuffa Boxing is clearly investing in him as a future headliner. His manager, Keith Connolly, confirmed after the fight that both sides were eager to continue the partnership, with major fights already being targeted. At the top of that list: Ryan Garcia.
Connolly identified Garcia now the WBC welterweight champion as the preferred next opponent for Benn, setting the stage for a potential blockbuster clash between two of boxing’s most polarizing stars.
Despite not competing at welterweight since 2022, Benn remains highly positioned in the division, currently ranked No. 1 by the WBC at 147 pounds.
Zuffa’s Boxing Vision Expands
Benn’s extension is another signal that Zuffa Boxing is aggressively building a roster capable of delivering major events. With crossover appeal, a growing global audience, and ties to major streaming platforms. The promotion continues to position itself as a disruptive force in the sport.
With five fights locked in and momentum on his side, Benn’s roadmap is clear:
- Big-name opponents
- Championship opportunities
- Global events
And possibly, a showdown with Ryan Garcia that could define the next era at welterweight.
