- What: WNBA Regular Season Game
- When: August 19, 2025
- Who: Atlanta Dream vs. Las Vegas Aces
- Time: 7:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Michelob ULTRA Arena (Las Vegas, NV)
The Atlanta Dream (22-12) take on the Las Vegas Aces (21-14) tonight in the WNBA, with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PST at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
No team in the WNBA is hotter than the Las Vegas Aces, who have won seven straight and nine of their last ten, pushing themselves firmly into the championship conversation.
After a sluggish start, they’re now seven games above .500 and just 1.5 games behind the second-seeded Atlanta Dream, whom they face on Tuesday night.
Las Vegas is strong at home (12-5), and A’ja Wilson is playing at an MVP level, averaging 26.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game, shooting 48.8% from the field and 37.5% from three during the streak.
The Dream have also surged since the All-Star break, going 9-3 and boasting the league’s second-best net rating in that span. With Rhyne Howard back, Atlanta has excelled defensively, especially at the rim and from midrange, which could challenge Wilson and limit Loyd’s shooting efficiency.
The Aces have hit their stride at the perfect time, closing the gap for the No. 2 seed with their recent winning streak.
Atlanta has been solid all season, but the Dream may face challenges on the road without guard Jordin Canada, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Her absence could impact Atlanta’s offense.
While Atlanta and Las Vegas rank second and third in net rating over their last 10 games, the Aces’ strong home performance—including a +3.7 net rating and the league’s third-best offensive rating—stands out.
While the Dream have played well lately, I’m taking the Aces to extend their winning streak to eight games on Tuesday night.
