The top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder will face the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals this Saturday.

The regular-season matchup concluded with both teams splitting the series 2-2. After a dominant performance in Game 1, where they won 114-88, the Thunder continued their strong play with a convincing 118-103 victory in Game 2 on Thursday.
Following his recent recognition as the league MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shone brightly with 38 points, going 12-for-21 shooting and 13-for-15 from the free-throw line while also contributing 8 assists.
Jalen Williams added 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while fellow Chet Holmgren chipped in with 22 points. The Thunder have now won their last three playoff games, each by a margin of at least 15 points.
Anthony Edwards led the scoring for the Timberwolves with 32 points in Game 2 but struggled from three-point range, managing only 1 of 9 attempts. The Timberwolves shot 41% overall and just 28% (11-for-39) from beyond the arc.
The Thunder have been dominant in this series and boast a remarkable 35-10 record on the road this season, including the playoffs. Their defense has also been impressive, allowing only 98.4 points per game in their 10 postseason victories.
On the other hand, the Timberwolves have faced challenges on defense, allowing 110 or more points in four consecutive playoff games after keeping opponents under 100 in their previous four.
Their losses in Games 1 and 2 mark their first consecutive defeats since March, and they haven’t lost three straight since January.
