The diamond Lady Rebels fell short at winning the weekend series against San Jose State.

The Lady Rebels and the Spartans split the two-game series.

UNLV tied the game, 1-all against San Jose State in the bottom of the third and came within one at the bottom of the fifth, but the Lady Rebels were unable to capitalize off of a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh.

Ariana Martinez, Jesse Farrell and Sofia Morales were the offensive leaders for the Lady Rebels.

In the bottom of the third inning, with two outs, Jesse Farrell drew a five-pitch walk. Sofia Morales then roped a single through the left side to give UNLV runners on first and second.
