Lady Rebels ready for Mountain West showdown with San Jose State

The UNLV Lady Rebels are ready for a Mountain West showdown in a two-game series against San Jose State on starting Friday, April 18 at 3pm PT and wrapping up on Saturday, April 19 at 12pm PT.

Against San Jose State, the Lady Rebels are 53-31. They are currently on a one game win streak against San Jose State.

In their last meeting, the Lady Rebels claimed the three-game win in the series, 2-1.

Their last time on the field, the Lady Rebels picked up a 7-6 walk-off win against California Baptist in a nonconference mid-week game. The Lady Rebels and the Lancers battled back and forth, with each team trading runs.

The Rebels capitalized on another two-out rally in the bottom of the eighth inning as Ariana Martinez roped an RBI single to left center bringing in the game-winning run.

The Spartans are coming into this series with a 18-22 record overall and a Mountain West record of 5-9. San Jose State is coming off a 2-1 series loss to UNR. Ahmiya Noriega leads the Spartans’ offense with a .346 batting average. Noriega also leads the team in hits (44) and triples (10).

The Diamond Lady Rebels will be back on the road next week for another three-game series against Utah State. The series will start on Friday, April 25 and end on Sunday, April 27. Game one will begin on at 3pm MT on Friday, April 25.
