WrestleMania Saturday has lived up to the hype this far, bringing fans to the co-main event of SmackDown Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defending her championship against Charlotte Flair.

The match started out as expected of a personal feud, with both women heading to the outside and exchanging blows. Flair got the better of the exchange with a back body drop onto the barricade before getting Stratton back into the ring.

The two continued to duke it out in the ring, with Flair taking a page from NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer’s book for some creative offense. Flair and Stratton continued to trade moves, with neither getting a definitive advantage.

The match started to take a turn when Stratton focused on Flair’s surgically repaired knee, but the challenger continued to fight off the assault and responded by applying some damage to the champion’s leg. After using the ring post, Flair locked in her father’s signature Figure Four Leg Lock, but Stratton broke out.

After breaking the hold, Stratton attempted a moonsault, only to land on Flair’s knees. Flair attempts to pin Stratton, but the champ was able to kick out at two to keep the match alive.

An exchange on the top rope leads to Flair hitting Natural Selection on to Stratton! Another near fall!

Flair attempts the Figure Eight, but Stratton gets out of it. Stratton reverses a spear attempt and hits a perfect moonsault for the victory! Stratton had to work for the win, but she comes up with her greatest moment in her career.

One match now remains, and the crowd now seems to be getting into the night. A perfect set up for the main event.
