In their last meeting on January 20, the Timberwolves narrowly lost 108-106 but covered as 5-point underdogs. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies in that game, while Anthony Edwards scored 32 points.
Minnesota has won five of its last six games, and it was unfortunate to lose to Milwaukee on Tuesday after holding a 24-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Experiencing such a significant comeback against them should keep the Timberwolves sharp as they prepare to face another strong home team in the Grizzlies, who have a 25-14 record at FedExForum.
Meanwhile, Memphis was able to cover the spread against the Hornets on Tuesday and also against the injury-depleted Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
However, they have had difficulty staying competitive against stronger teams, with a record of 0-9-1 against the spread in their last 10 games as underdogs.
