The Seattle Kraken visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday evening in a Pacific Division battle.
Historically, the Golden Knights have been dominant at home against the Kraken. They’ve won their last four meetings by two or more goals.
Since April 11, 2023, Vegas has outscored Seattle 17-5 in those four games at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights have won eight of their last 11 games, while the Kraken have lost six of their previous 10.
The Seattle Kraken have been eliminated from playoff contention in the Western Conference. The Golden Knights are on the verge of clinching the Pacific Division title.
Vegas is holding a six-point lead over the Los Angeles Kings with only four games remaining. Although the Kings do have a game in hand, it seems likely that the Golden Knights will secure the top seed.
The Golden Knights boast a solid home record of 27-9-3 and a remarkable plus-51 goal differential. The Kraken have struggled this season with a 17-22-1 record and a minus-17 goal differential.
The two teams have faced off twice this season, splitting the results. Vegas came out on top 6-2 in their most recent matchup as moderate favorites (-180), while the Over (6) hit.
Vegas is strong offensively, scoring 12 goals in their last four home games and converting over 29 percent of their power play opportunities.
On the other hand, Seattle ranks 21st in penalty kills and struggles defensively, making it tough for them to contain the Golden Knights.
The Kraken are also having trouble offensively, scoring just eight goals in their last three road games and converting only 18 percent of their power plays.
Although Vegas ranks 23rd in penalty kills, their defense has been solid lately, allowing only seven goals in their last three games.
With Vegas vying for a critical postseason position and Seattle lacking any motivation, betting on the Golden Knights to win in regulation is the best bet in this one.
