On Monday, the Los Angeles Clippers will face the Orlando Magic at the Kia Center, and we’ve prepared our prediction for the game. The tip-off in Orlando is set for 4:00 p.m. PST.
This will be their second meeting of the season, with LA having won the first game 104-93 on November 20.
The Clippers lost to the Cavs on Sunday, but they managed to cover the spread as road underdogs and came close to an upset, even without their top player.
It looked like a rest day for Leonard, who hasn’t played both back-to-back games this season. If he does make it to the lineup, I really like the Clippers’ chances in this matchup.
Los Angeles’s net rating over the last 10 games has been +14.3, the best in the NBA. It is also known for having one of the strongest defensive teams in the league.
While the Magic also have a solid defense, they struggle offensively, ranking near the bottom in both offensive rating and effective field goal percentage.
That won’t suffice against a Clippers team featuring Kawhi. It’s noteworthy that Orlando has struggled as a home underdog, with a record of just 4-7-1 against the spread this season.
I’m taking the favored Clippers on the road in this one over an Orlando Magic team that’s been struggling to end the season.
