Lady Rebels win in a thriller in OT

The Lady Rebels remain undefeated in Mountain West play, earning their seventh straight win in overtime against Wyoming with a 72-71 victory.

The Lady Rebels have won their last six games against Wyoming, including two overtime wins.

Three Lady Rebels scored in double-digits in the win. Amarachi Kimpson led the Lady Rebels, scoring 22 points, went 8-for-12 from the floor, and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.

McKinna Brackens scored 14 points and scored the game-winning shot in overtime. Aaliyah Alexander scored 12 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds.

Alyssa Brown led the Lady Rebels with 13 rebounds, and Kiara Jackson led the Lady Rebels with four assists, including the game-winning Brackens pass.

Wyoming is now 10-8 (4-2 MW). The Cowgirls had three players scoring in double-digits.

Allyson Fertig led the way with 22 points. Malene Pedersen and Emily Mellema both scored 16 points each. Fertig led the Cowgirls in rebounding, picking up nine. Mellema led the Cowgirls in assists with six.

UNLV held the Cowgirls to eight points in the second quarter. The Lady Rebels also forced 15 turnovers and scored 20 points off of said turnovers.

The Lady Rebels will go on another road trip for two Mountain West games. First, they face Fresno State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
