The UNLV Lady Rebels (8-4) begin conference play against the Fresno State Bulldogs (9-4) after the holiday break.

The Lady Rebels are coming off of an impressive win against the UCR Highlanders, 80-57.

In the win, Amarachi Kimpson led the team with 13 points and went 4-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-4 from the three-point line.

The Lady Rebels set the tone early in the game with Kimpson and Alyssa Brown making back-to-back shots, giving the Lady Rebels an early lead.

The Lady Rebels need to keep the momentum from start to finish to secure a win. They will need to continue their great defensive pressure; they held the Highlanders to 18.2% from the floor in the first quarter and 20.0% in the third quarter. The bench was pivotal for the Lady Rebels. They outscored the Highlanders 44-19.

The Bulldogs closed out conference play in a close victory against Northern Arizona, 66-55 on Thursday, December 19th. Forward Mia Jacobs led the team with 21 points and 14 rebounds. She is closing in on her ninth double-double. The Bulldogs have been consistent in converting from the floor. They are 9-4 when they make six or more shots from the three-point line.

The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 16-11 over the Lady Rebels. The two teams last met on February 10th, 2024, where the Lady Rebels pulled off a win, 63-49.

The Lady Rebels will meet the Bulldogs on Sunday, December 29th at 2 p.m. at the Cox Pavillion.
