The New York Jets host the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football to conclude week six in the NFL. Both teams are coming off two-game losing streaks.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are looking to bounce back after suffering two consecutive losses.
While their offense has been consistent, averaging 299.8 yards per game, which ranks in the bottom half of the NFL, they excel at scoring, averaging 28.4 points per game, ranking third in the league.
The team has been working on finding balance on offense. James Cook performed exceptionally well in the Buffalo backfield, accumulating 309 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 70 carries. Unfortunately, Cook will miss this game due to injury.

Quarterback Josh Allen has been impressive through the air, amassing 945 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and zero interceptions, with a 60.3% completion percentage.
The receiving corps has room for improvement, but Khalil Shakur has been a standout performer with 18 receptions for 230 yards and two touchdowns.
Conversely, the Bills’ defense has displayed inconsistency this season. They allow an average of 342.4 total yards and 21.2 points per game.
Their performance against the run has been shaky, allowing 198.4 yards, but they have been strong against the pass, conceding only 144 yards. Additionally, the Bills are still missing key players such as Von Miller, Ed Oliver, Matt Milano, and potentially others.
New York Jets
After a disappointing loss in London, the New York Jets decided to part ways with Head Coach Robert Saleh.
Saleh’s coaching record with the Jets was 20-36, but his defenses ranked in the top five in points allowed during two of his four years with the team.
The Jets have had a rough start to the current season, and there are numerous uncertainties surrounding the team. They are struggling, averaging 286.6 yards per game and scoring 18.6 points on offense.
The team’s offensive performance is closely tied to Aaron Rodgers. He has accumulated 1,093 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions with a completion percentage of 61%. Despite Breece Hall’s talent, the running game also needs improvement.
He has rushed for 197 yards and scored two touchdowns on 65 carries. While Garrett Wilson is the main target in the receiving corps, Allen Lazard has also performed well.

Wilson has made 242 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 57 receptions, while Lazard has gained 240 receiving yards and scored four touchdowns on 33 receptions.
The Jets’ defense has had an excellent season, allowing an average of 255.8 yards per game, which is the second-best in the NFL. They also allow an average of 17 points per game.
Their strength lies in pass defense, allowing only 136.6 yards through the air, although they have struggled more against the run.
The defense is filled with talent, starting with Quinnen Williams up front, C.J. Mosley at linebacker, and strong secondary players in Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed.
The Jets’ defense will need to step up and potentially carry the team against the formidable Josh Allen.
Bills-Jets Best Bet
This is going to be a defensive slug fest on Monday Night Football. The forecast is calling for extreme wind and it’s starting to get cold as well.
The Bills not having James Cook is a huge blow to the offense. It puts a lot more of the offensive burden on Josh Allen.
The Jets have been pretty dysfunctional, but the coaching change should fire up the rest of the team.
The Jets, as underdogs in prime time at home, are the best bet in this one. The Bills are too wounded to win.
The best bet in this one will be Jets moneyline at +105 odds.
