The Raiders will face off against the 49ers on Friday night in the desert, wrapping up the final weekend of preseason play.

San Francisco (1-1) secured a 16-10 win at home against the Saints last Sunday, thanks to a strong performance from their pass defense.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas (0-2) struggled to generate offense in a 27-12 loss to Dallas last Saturday. The game will kick off at 10:00 PM EST from Allegiant Stadium.

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have showcased a strong defensive performance in the preseason, only allowing 17 and 10 points in their two games. This solid defensive play has positioned them favorably to secure victories.

Their defensive lineup, including their backup players, is expected to be just as effective. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to score and are currently 0-2 in the preseason.

The Raiders intend to rest their expected starters, such as Gardner Minshew, and other key position players, like Davante Adams. The 49ers should be able to capitalize by maintaining their strong defensive stance to claim the win.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders won’t be the only team resting its starters on Friday. The 49ers plan to sit several key players, including Nick Bosa, Leonard Floyd, Fred Warner, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, as they prepare for Week 1 of the NFL season.

With these key offensive playmakers out, San Francisco’s backups will take the field, but they likely won’t have the same impact as their star counterparts. This gives the Raiders a good chance to have a strong defensive performance.

Niners-Raiders Best Bet

The 49ers have struggled to put up points this preseason, scoring just 16 in their win and losing 17-13 to the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. Their offensive struggles are expected to continue in this game, especially with their top players sitting out.

If the Raiders can hold the 49ers to under 20 points, they should be able to cover the spread and win the game. At some sportsbooks, the spread has climbed to 9 points, which is a lot of points.

I’ll take the Raiders to cover the 9 points and keep this one close.
