- What: WNBA Regular Season
- When: Thursday, June 27
- Who: Indiana Fever vs. Seattle Storm
- Tip-Off: 10:00 p.m. ET
- Where: Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle, WA)
As we discuss in our preview, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will face the Storm on Thursday in Seattle.
The last time Caitlin Clark visited Seattle, she scored 21 points, nearly leading her then-winless Indiana Fever to one of the season’s biggest upsets.
However, the Storm secured an 85-83 victory before a record crowd at Climate Pledge Arena.
Top sportsbooks say the Storm are 8-point favorites to defeat the Fever. Despite losing two of their last three games, they remain one of the top contenders in the latest WNBA championship odds.
Meanwhile, despite their recent loss, the Fever is determined to bounce back. They aim to rebound after their four-game winning streak was broken against the Chicago Sky on Sunday. This loss came despite a strong performance from Clark, who posted 17 points and 13 assists.
Indiana Fever
Indiana has recently seen a surge in offensive output, averaging 89.6 points per game over their last five matchups.
However, this increase in production can be attributed to playing against middle-tier defenses like those of the Dream, Sky, and Mystics.
Now, they face their third consecutive road game against the league’s third-best defense. Offense remains Indiana’s strong suit.
The Fever have hit eight straight overs and now boast a 14-4 record for overs.

In their two previous encounters this season, the games exceeded the total points set, with scores of 168 and 191. Yet, the total for this game is set at 167.5.
Caitlin Clark’s performance is a key factor to consider. Her points prop is set at just 17.5, a mark she surpassed in her last game against the Storm.
In her previous meeting with Seattle, she scored 20+ points and dished out 7+ assists. While the Storm may have a better strategy for her this time, Clark’s potential impact on the game’s outcome is significant.
Seattle Storm
Seattle thrives on playing at a fast pace, which is particularly impressive given its strong defensive capabilities. It ranks third in possessions per 40 minutes, which often results in high-scoring games.
Their offense has only faced challenges against other top-tier defenses, such as New York, Minnesota, and Connecticut.

Conversely, the Fever’s defense, already the worst in the league, suffered another setback this week when Celeste Taylor, the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, was waived.
Consequently, the Storm’s balanced offense should find ample opportunities to score.
Fever-Storm Bet
These are two of the best teams against the spread this season, both benefiting from four days of rest to prepare for this matchup.
Seattle will push the pace, while Indiana will try to keep up. Ultimately, the Storm’s superior defense should secure a win but the total in this one is intriguing. The total is at 167 and I love the over in this one.
