Can the Las Vegas Aces defense regain championship form?

  • What: WNBA regular season game
  • When: Saturday, June 15
  • Who: New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces
  • Tip-off: 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas)

The Las Vegas Aces aim to break their recent slump on June 15 when they host the New York Liberty in a rematch of last year’s WNBA Finals.

This is the season’s first clash between the top two title favorites, with additional matchups scheduled for August 17 in Las Vegas and September 8 in Brooklyn.

The last time they faced off, the Aces narrowly edged out the Liberty in a thrilling final minute at Barclays Center last October.

Despite being two-time defending champions, Las Vegas has not performed up to their usual standards this season.

These are two of the league’s top-scoring offenses, with Vegas averaging 87.3 points per game and New York close behind at 85.8.

Both teams can score significantly, and I expect them to push each other deep into the fourth quarter. However, I’ll take the under in this matchup.

This total is around 174 to 175, depending on the sportsbook, and it feels way too high. It opened up at 169 at most sportsbooks.

Liberty-Aces Best Bet

This feels like the perfect opportunity for the Aces defense to step up and shut down the hottest team in the league. I absolutely love the under in this one.

You can get Under 175 to 174.5 at -110 to -115 at most sportsbooks, and I would play this all the way down to 172. There will be a lot of public money on the over as well.
