Tyson is scheduled to face Jake Paul in a boxing match July 20 AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tyson had a medical issue that required paramedics to board the plane upon landing and assist. But Tyson’s rep wanted to clear up that he was the reason for the flight having to land.
“It’s false reporting that his medical attention caused the flight delay,” the rep stated. “This two-hour delay was due to an air conditioning issue on the aircraft.”
Tyson will be 58 by time he steps in the ring with Paul who will be 27. This will be Mike Tyson’s first pro fight since the early 2000’s. The fight will be contested over eight two-minute rounds with each fighter using 14-ounce gloves. No word yet if this incident will have any impact on the targeted date on July 20th. Stay tuned for any potential updates in regards to this story.
